In addition to the digital magazine, China Books Review also hosts regular in-person events (every two months or so) at Asia Society’s headquarters in New York, where our office is based.

For these book talks, launches and panel discussions, we invite the biggest names in the field to share their insights on China and the Sinophone world, and celebrate their recent publications while the book is hot off the press.

We have hosted Nicholas Kristof, Barbara Demick, Dan Wang, Emily Feng, Kevin Rudd and many more, paired with the sharpest moderators on the topic at hand. Every event is recorded, and videos are viewable in our archive of past events.

Authors take audience questions and are available to sign books, which are on sale at the event. The ticket price for our events at Asia Society is set at $25, but CBR readers can get $10 off with the code CBR15 at check-out.

To be notified of our upcoming events and save your seat in time, follow us on our newsletter and social media. Consider becoming a member of Asia Society for further event announcements and discounts, as well as free access to the museum.
