Every year, in early summer, we publish a physical edition of China Books Review, collecting 25-30 articles focused on books published in the previous year. We call this our “yearbook.” It features our original illustrations as well as a selection of our best reviews, essays, excerpts, profiles and columns, freshly laid out for print. It’s a great way to catch up if you missed anything from the previous year, or to read us outside the digital world.

To get your hands on the current yearbook (2026), please donate $25 or more to cover our costs ($50 or more if you live outside the U.S., for international postage). Just include your full mailing address in the form below, and we’ll pop a copy of the current issue in the mail for you. If you’d rather get a back-issue (from 2025 onward) instead of, or in addition to, the current yearbook, please write to info[at]chinabooksreview.com after sending the appropriate donation amount (i.e. $50 for two issues), to clarify.
